Add Apps, Websites, and Shareable Links

Share an app, website, photo link, document, map, video, product, or other URL-style link to SpeedKee. Then choose how you want to launch it from the keyboard.

Play Store is just an easy first example. The same idea works with websites, maps, videos, products, documents, photos, and other shareable links.

Step 1
Share any app from the Play Store

Find an app you want on your keyboard. Then share it to SpeedKee — the link lands on your SpeedBar, ready to assign.

1
Find an app on the Play Store.
2
Tap the three dots (top right) → Share.
3
Select SpeedKee from the share menu.
4
The app link appears on your SpeedBar, ready to assign.
Step 2
Assign your trigger

Pick how you want to launch it. Any of these work.

TriggerHow to use it
Typed shortcut + SpaceType your shortcut, then press Space.
Long-pressType lp, then tap the key or icon you want to hold.
Double-tap iconTap the same icon twice.
Icon + letterTap the icon, then a letter.
Rocket key + letterTap 🚀, then a letter.
Quick rule

For the most reliable launcher shortcut, choose a launcher-style trigger such as long-press, double-tap, icon + letter, rocket + letter, or a typed shortcut followed by Space.

If you want the shortcut to type or share the link instead of opening it, see Shortcuts, Simplified.

Works for websites too
Websites and shareable links work too

In Chrome, tap Menu → Share → SpeedKee to send any web address to your SpeedBar. Any site you visit can become a one-tap destination on your keyboard.

Many apps can create shareable links to specific things, such as photos, documents, maps, videos, products, or online files. If the app gives you a URL-style link, SpeedKee can save that link as a shortcut. SpeedKee saves the link, not the original photo or file.

Troubleshooting. Tap if something goes wrong.
New shortcut not replacing the old one

SpeedKee does not overwrite existing shortcuts. To replace one, long-press 0 first to pause shortcuts. Then long-press 3 to search for the old trigger, edit or delete it, and long-press 0 again to resume shortcuts.

Or just pick a different trigger, such as icon + letter, and keep going.

SpeedKee not appearing in the share menu

Android sometimes buries share targets. Scroll down or tap "More" to find SpeedKee. After you use it once, it usually moves toward the top.

URL shared but nothing appeared on SpeedBar

If nothing appears on SpeedBar, switch to SpeedKee and try the share again. Some Android share flows behave differently depending on the active keyboard and app.

How do I find apps to add?

Tap the Play Store link above to browse. Once you find an app, use the Share menu to send it to SpeedKee.

Shortcut opens when you wanted to send the link as text

If a shortcut opens immediately when you wanted to send the link as text, review Shortcuts, Simplified.

Your launcher is now part of your keyboard.
