Make your first shortcut.

In about 30 seconds, you’ll create your first shortcut and watch it expand as you type. The keyboard is already active. Now let’s make it do something useful.

Your first shortcut

Create brb → be right back

One short trigger. One real phrase. Make it, test it, and feel what SpeedKee does.

1
Long-press the 1 number key to open the shortcut dialog.
2
In the top field, type brb.
3
In the bottom field, type be right back.
4
Tap OK. You return right to where you were.
5
Type brb, then press space.
Practice typing here
After saving your shortcut in SpeedKee, type brb and press space here to test it.
That’s the hook. One short trigger. One real phrase. Instantly available anywhere you type.
Longer Expansion Tips

For longer expansions, you do not have to type everything manually. Paste text into the expansion box, or dictate into the expansion box.

If the OK button is hidden, collapse the keyboard temporarily. On many Android phones using 3-button navigation, this is the bottom triangle. Then tap OK.

What you just learned: SpeedKee can create a shortcut directly from where you’re already typing. Later pages reveal faster methods and more built-in power, but this is the core move everything grows from.
